Golf reviews in the Western Cape
Honest, in-depth takes on every course we play.

Boschenmeer Estate, Paarl
Paarl Golf Club: 27 holes, each with its own personality
Paarl Golf Club has 27 holes, each one a completely different challenge. Always in good condition, nice facilities, friendly staff. Just ten minutes from a top-10 SA course in Pearl Valley — and somehow still the layout I'd want to be a member at.

Koelenhof, Stellenbosch
Devonvale: the thinking golfer's everyday course
Devonvale isn't the longest course you'll play in the Cape, but the layout makes you think on almost every tee. The par 5s are reachable and built to score on, the par 4s constantly tempt you to grab a driver when something else would be smarter, and there's enough water to punish bad club choices. Not a top 10 course — but exactly the kind of layout you'd want as a member.

Bellville, Cape Town
Bellville Golf Club Review
Set between the Tygerberg hills, Bellville is one of the most sloped courses you'll play in Cape Town. You're rarely standing flat-footed, and at some point, the terrain will catch you out.
